It’s not Summer Without You

by Jenny Han

This book was heartbreaking to put it in simple words; it shocked me to say the least. Susana’s death, Laurel’s discounted and Belly’s not in Cousins? And more than that what happened at the reception between belly and Conrad.

And to add onto that, the way that belly and Conrad broke up. The book was so well written that I felt belly’s heartbreak and despair every step of the way.

Although at times I felt like stopping the book altogether and moving on I still pushed through to finish it.

Half way across the book, the love triangle begins, between a girl and two brothers.

After kissing one while the other on watched Isabel finds herself lost between Conrad and Jeremiah. Not wanting to choose one she slept on it for the night, to find the next morning that the universe had already chosen for her, or rather Conrad that backed down because he knew he was not enough for her and that he couldn’t love her as much as his brother would.

That is exactly why I am team Conrad. This book was gut wrenching at times and at other times the reader could fell the love belly had for both boys. But she ended up dating Jeremiah Fisher.

But the most surprising part of the book was the epilogue where belly was running from a wedding? Her own wedding with a Fisher?
