By Sarah J. Maas
Breath taking, thrilling and exciting but emotional and heartbreaking as well. We follow Aelin and her allies as they team up to defeat the evil forces that were uncovered in the previous books.
I loved how Aelin was portrayed in this book, she was even more fearless and powerful, she was tactful and clueless at the same time; I am sincerely amazed by how Sarah j. mass was able to build such a world and such a complicated character with an even more complicated backstory. We got to see her carful side, a side that was nonexistent before.
I also loved the multi-character POVs, they made the story clear and understandable.
My favorite part in this book was the most heartbreaking part. It was the end when Rowan asks about his wife. It was so heartbreaking; I was sobbing because of it. It was so beautifully written and so emotional that I took a week long reading break to process the finality of the book.
Would I read it again? Yes. And will I cry again? Yes. Will I recommend it to anyone I know? Definitely.
The best way to experience this book is to read it at the same time as reading the one that follows. Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn take place on different continents but at the same time. A reading chart on how to read the two books are supposed to be read together is somewhere on the internet.
