As we discovered in the last book that “Celaena” is actually Aelin Galathynius the supposedly dead princess of the conquered kingdom of Terrasen, and she is Fae and has fire magic while Dorian is human with raw magic.
Well in this book we were going back and forth between Wendlyn and Erilea with different point of view once from the prince of Adarlan another from the princess of Terrasen and a different one from the Heir to the blackbeak witch clan. In this book we met a guy that lived more than a century and a girl that died before finishing her second decade, an immortal and a very mortal. I laughed most about Aelin and Rowan’s relationship, how they were at each other’s throats -literally- at the start of the book and were friends by the end; I still didn’t forgive Rowan for the stunt he pulled to “help” Aelin reach her potential he not only endangered his life but hers as well .Same goes for Chaol and Aedion Ashryver, cousin of Aelin, but they were less friendly than Rowan and Aelin, who then team up with rebels and Dorian. Chaol escapes the castle with Fleetfoot Aedion is imprisoned, Dorian gets a new collar, Aelin frightens Maeve, Rowan is relieved from his blood oath to the queen of the Fae.
This book has a tone of new characters and plots I suggest reading it to find more events. My new second favorite pet in this book is Abraxos, Fleetfoot is still the most responsible character in this book. It was one of the rare five-star books that I read.
